Aussie Ticks Down From 9-day High Against Yen

The Australian dollar that advanced to a 9-day high of 78.09 against the Japanese yen on Friday morning in Asia retreated in late trading. As of 1:50 am ET, the aussie is quoted at 77.32, down from 77.71 hit late New York Thursday.

The aussie that challenged yesterday's new multi-week high against the US dollar on Friday's early Asian deals pared gains shortly and reached as low as 0.89 before leveling off around 1.55 am ET. The aussie-greenback pair is presently quoted at 0.8921. (Provided by RTTNews)
